Updating
Murmurtale checks for signed updates automatically about once an hour. You can also choose Check for Updates from the quill menu or Preferences. Update access is included before account creation, with a free account, and with Pro — it never spends words or requires an upgrade.
Founding-beta builds 25 and earlier receive build 27 through a one-time automatic bridge. Build 27 and later use the protected updater. If an update cannot complete, the signed-in beta download remains the manual recovery path: quit Murmurtale, install the newer app into Applications, and relaunch.
Rolling back
If a build misbehaves, you can return to the previous one the same way: quit, install the older build into Applications, and relaunch. Because your models, settings, dictionaries, and history live outside the app bundle, switching builds never disturbs them.
Your data is separateUpdating or rolling back only replaces the app itself. Your work stays exactly where it is.
